FlooringCalcTools provides calculations and estimates for planning purposes only. While we strive to ensure our mathematical formulas reflect standard trade practices:
- Physical variances: Room geometry, alcoves, fireplaces, unlevel subfloors, and complex doorway cuts may require higher waste margins than our standard 10% or 15% recommendations.
- Manufacturer differences: Carton coverage and board dimensions vary by manufacturer and retail brand (including Home Depot, Lowe's, B&Q, Shaw, Mohawk, Bruce, etc.). Always verify the exact square footage or square meter coverage printed on your specific product carton before finalizing purchases.
- Dye lots & batches: FlooringCalcTools is not responsible for material shortages or color discrepancies caused by differing manufacturer dye lots. We strongly recommend purchasing at least one extra carton as attic stock for future repairs.
Always confirm your final order quantities with a licensed contractor, installer, or retail materials specialist prior to purchasing non-refundable goods.
3. Intellectual property rights
The software code, interface design, graphic assets, typography styles, logos, formulas, and editorial guides on FlooringCalcTools are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a non-exclusive, revocable license to access the site and generate personal or contractor estimates. You may not scrape, mirror, reverse engineer, or redistribute our tools or website code without prior written consent.
